Dr. Jacobs is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who completed a fellowship in cornea, refractive surgery and external disease at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, one of the country’s most renowned eye hospitals. Dr. Jacobs received extensive training in complex cataract surgery, intraocular lens (IOL) surgery, corneal transplantation, refractive surgery and more. She is skilled in laser assisted cataract surgery and advanced technology intraocular lens implants, including Toric (astigmatism-correcting,) Multifocal and Extended Depth of Focus lenses and has a special interest in treating dry eye disease.
Dr. Jacobs earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, where she graduated cum laude and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Jacobs has been published in multiple, respected, peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national conferences. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Most importantly, she is a dedicated and caring physician and believes in patient-centered care. In her spare time, Dr. Jacobs enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, exercising and spending time with her family and friends.
